CHOICE OF MATERIALS

Brushed steel

Brushed steel gives an exclusive, silk-mat finish that is easy to clean with special metal polish. We often hear that steel is hard to keep looking its best - HOWEVER- steel comes in many guises. Many steel surfaces consist of polished steel in which the raw plates have been machine-polished. This gives a uniform polish, but unfortunately a very open surface from which grease and dirt are difficult to remove. All Trepol cooker hoods/extractors are available in hand-brushed steel and have been additionally surface-treated. This means that the surface is silky smooth and easy to keep clean of greasy fingerprints.

Shiny steel

If you want a completely shiny surface, choose our shiny polished steel which is best kept clean with a soft cloth and window cleaner.

Aluminium finish

Domestic appliances and aluminium accessories have become quite popular in recent years. Unfortunately, one drawback of aluminium is its soft surface, which with daily use results in small scratches that cannot be removed. The manufacture of aluminium cooker Hoods/extractors also involves hardening in large acid baths.

At Trepol we wish to reduce the environmental impact of our production and at the same time create a surface that remains attractive year after year - even with intensive use. That is why we have decided to offer all our cooker hoods/extractors in an aluminium-style powder coating.

Coated surfaces can withstand daily cleaning with all common household cleaning agents, but are not dishwasher or solvent-safe.

Glass

Trepol's glass screens are manufactured in 8 mm hardened glass. Glass creates a light and sophisticated design that goes well with contemporary style. If you have special size requirements, Trepol will be happy to supply customised measurements and a smoky/sand-blasted surface at an additional charge.

The glass screens are best kept clean with a soft cloth and window cleaner.
